Digital photography gives us the means to go far beyond creating an image "in-camera".  Today’s creative processing tools allow us to enhance the artistic elements of a scene and provide a new frame of reference for the viewer.  It’s an ability that was available only to a handful of photographers in the film and chemical processing era of photography.
